Recipe Guide
- → Can I substitute different meats or cheeses?
Absolutely. Try ham instead of turkey or Swiss cheese in place of provolone. Mix and match to your taste.
- → What type of bread works best?
Italian hoagie rolls or ciabatta are perfect. Lightly toasting them adds delicious texture and warmth.
- → How can I make this vegetarian?
Omit the meats and add more veggies such as grilled zucchini or artichoke hearts for a satisfying meatless sandwich.
- → What sides pair well with these sandwiches?
Kettle chips or a crisp Italian white wine, like Pinot Grigio, complement the robust flavors beautifully.
- → How long can I store leftovers?
Wrap tightly and refrigerate. For best texture, enjoy within 2 hours; any longer and the bread may soften.
- → Are there allergens to consider?
Contains wheat, milk, and eggs. Mortadella may also have pistachios; always check ingredient labels for hidden allergens.
