# Components:

→ Green Tea

01 - 2 green tea bags
02 - 2 cups hot water (about 175°F)

→ Peach Syrup

03 - 1 cup peach nectar or peach juice
04 - 2 tablespoons simple syrup (or 2 tablespoons honey/agave as an alternative)

→ Lemonade

05 - 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
06 - 1/2 cup cold water
07 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

→ To Serve

08 - Ice cubes
09 - Fresh peach slices (optional)
10 - Mint leaves (optional)

# Method:

01 - Pour 2 cups of hot water (about 175°F) over the 2 green tea bags in a heatproof vessel. Steep 2–3 minutes, remove the bags, then transfer the tea to the refrigerator or set aside to cool to room temperature.
02 - In a pitcher, combine 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 cup cold water and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
03 - In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together 1 cup peach nectar and 2 tablespoons simple syrup (or honey/agave). Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
04 - Fill serving glasses with ice. Pour equal parts cooled green tea, peach syrup and lemonade into each glass (approximately one part of each per glass). Stir gently to combine.
05 - Top each glass with peach slices and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately and advise guests to stir before drinking.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You can adjust every single part to fit your mood or whatever you find at the store or farmers market.
  • This drink transforms even a midweek afternoon into something sunny and special, no drive-through required.
02 -
  • If you overbrew the green tea, your whole pitcher can turn bitter, even after lots of sugar and peach.
  • I once tried using store-bought lemonade but the extra fresh squeeze makes the entire drink brighter and more refreshing.
03 -
  • Always let the tea cool completely before combining—otherwise it melts your ice and waters down the taste.
  • Use agave for a vegan version that stays just as sweet.
