17 - 1/2 cup pomegranate arils (optional)
→ Accompaniments
18 - 1/2 cup olives (green or black)
19 - 1/4 cup cornichons or gherkins
20 - 1/2 cup honey or fruit preserves
21 - Assorted crackers or crostini, 1–2 types (gluten-free if needed)
# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, combine mixed nuts, maple syrup, melted butter, sea salt, and cayenne pepper. Toss until coated evenly.
02 - Spread the coated nuts on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes, stirring once during baking, until golden brown and fragrant. Allow to cool completely.
03 - Position all cheeses on the serving board, cutting some into slices or wedges for convenient serving.
04 - Layer prosciutto, salami, and coppa or soppressata around the cheeses, folding or rolling each for an attractive presentation.
05 - Distribute grapes, apple slices, dried apricots, figs, and pomegranate arils in small clusters across the board.
06 - Place olives, cornichons, and fruit preserves or honey in separate small bowls. Space bowls on the board for easy reach.
07 - Evenly scatter the cooled maple glazed nuts throughout the board for crunch and flavor.
08 - Arrange crackers or crostini as the final addition to maintain freshness and prevent sogginess.
09 - Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate cheeses and meats until ready to serve. For optimal flavor, bring items to room temperature prior to serving.
