Recipe Guide

Can I use rotisserie chicken instead of cooked chicken breast?

Yes, rotisserie chicken works well and can save preparation time without sacrificing flavor.

What pasta is best for this dish?

Fettuccine is ideal as it holds the creamy sauce well, but similar pasta shapes like tagliatelle or pappardelle also work.

How do you make the Alfredo sauce thick and creamy?

The sauce thickens by cooking a butter and flour roux, then gradually whisking in milk and cream until smooth and rich.

Can I add vegetables to the casserole?

Yes, adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach enhances flavor and adds texture.

What is the best way to get a crispy cheese topping?

Baking the casserole until bubbly and golden followed by a quick broil for 2–3 minutes will create a crisp, flavorful crust.

Is it possible to use gluten-free pasta and flour?

Yes, gluten-free pasta and flour can be substituted to accommodate dietary needs without altering the dish’s flavor significantly.
