11 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)
12 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
→ Topping
13 - 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
14 - 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a standard 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease with nonstick spray.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until fully blended.
03 - In a large bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, melted butter, and honey until mixture is smooth and combined.
04 - Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing to prevent dense muffins.
05 - Mix softened cream cheese with chives and garlic powder in a small bowl until filling is smooth.
06 - Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter. Place about one tablespoon cream cheese filling in the center. Cover with remaining batter.
07 - Sprinkle the surface of each muffin with everything bagel seasoning and sesame seeds.
08 - Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, until muffins are golden and a toothpick inserted into the muffin part comes out clean.
09 - Allow muffins to cool in the pan for five minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
